Scholarship Opportunities

A Poppy training cohort of yoga teachers and birth workers, gathered and smiling after graduation

Why scholarships

Black, Indigenous, and people of color are severely underrepresented in the yoga community, and we would like to see more BIPOC yoga teachers in yoga communities. In addition, the maternal mortality and morbidity rate is disproportionately high for Black women and birth-givers in the United States. We understand the gravity of this problem and strive to be part of the solution. We do not think that yoga is the solution — but we believe it can be a fantastic tool within a system of support for improving the health and well-being of all pregnant and postpartum people.

20full scholarship spots have been offered with a single 3-day training

Scholarship spots for BIPOC yoga teachers and birth workers (or aspiring ones) open alongside each new training.
